Aquent CEO joins “Closing Bell,” predicts work-from-home acceleration.

“Going back to the old world is not going to happen.”

Nine months into the COVID19 pandemic, nearly 42 percent of the U.S. workforce is fully remote. By 2025, that number is expected to grow by 87 percent. According to Aquent CEO John H. Chuang, “trying to get workers back into the office is like trying to unring a bell.” He said people are saving time by not commuting and they have a better work-life balance. Companies realize they’re “wasting a ton of money if they have office space that sits unused.” Chuang also argued that companies have far more access to great talent when they’re not tied to local markets only, and “talent really calls the shots nowadays.”
