As a Credentialing Coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing provider credentialing applications, ensuring they meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, including Recruiting and Production, to facilitate a seamless credentialing process. Your expertise in navigating complex regulations will be essential to the organization’s success.
Responsibilities:
- Review credentialing applications for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with federal, state, and NCQA regulations.
- Conduct primary source verification and validate documentation to ensure the accuracy of all credentialing elements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in provider information, communicating potential issues to management.
- Maintain accurate records within the credentialing database, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
- Track verification requests and follow up as needed to ensure timely processing of applications.
- Communicate effectively with providers and internal teams to address credentialing inquiries and resolve issues.
- Stay informed about industry updates and regulatory changes to maintain current knowledge of credentialing best practices.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a credentialing role.
- NAMSS Certification as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) or eligibility within two years.
- Experience with CAQH.
- Medical staff experience.
- Proficiency with Google Suite applications.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $26.19 to $29.10 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
