• Perform comprehensive research, both internal and external, to enrich and expand taxonomy node metadata.
• Proactively communicate project status, flag potential issues, identify opportunities, and report progress to partners and stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain taxonomies in strict adherence to established governance guidelines and best practices.
• Collaborate with fellow taxonomists and cross-functional teams to drive data analysis, taxonomy enrichment, and design initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in developing taxonomies, thesauri, or ontologies for both front-end user interfaces and back-end systems.
• Demonstrated experience researching and defining taxonomy and ontology node metadata based on existing standards.
• Proficiency in data analysis, with strong skills in Excel, Google Sheets, or scripting languages, for identifying metadata trends and quality issues.
• Experience working with a variety of topic and domain types, showcasing adaptability in information organization.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate and present taxonomy principles and standards to diverse audiences.
• Strong ownership mentality, with the ability to self-start, proactively build relationships with partners, and develop a clear point of view.
• Exceptional collaboration skills, capable of working effectively within a team environment.
• A strong affinity for detail-oriented taxonomy development work, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, or Linguistics.
