Summary

Seeking a strategic, creative Philanthropy Communications Specialist to bridge Development and Communications teams. You will drive donor connection and fundraising goals by producing compelling, data-informed cross-channel campaigns. This role focuses on unrestricted individual giving through powerful storytelling, thoughtful project management, and impactful messaging to expand donor pipelines.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution: Plan and lead integrated, cross-channel fundraising campaigns, including email segmentation, A/B testing, and visual strategy.
  • Content Development: Create donor-centered assets across multiple formats, including email appeals, newsletters, impact reports, one-pagers, slide decks, and social media.
  • Strategic Storytelling: Source and craft impactful stories from internal data and story banks to illustrate organizational impact and engage supporters.
  • Project Management: Act as the primary lead for Development communications, ensuring on-time delivery of year-end campaigns, planned giving initiatives, and special event assets.
  • Donor Acquisition: Support new audience engagement efforts through messaging development, testing, and continuous refinement.
  • Performance Analytics: Track and analyze metrics (revenue, conversion, ROI) to optimize the effectiveness of donor communications.
  • Data Integrity: Assist with CRM record and data management to ensure effective targeting and communication accuracy.

     

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Professional Background: 3–5 years of experience in digital fundraising, communications, or a related field.
  • Campaign Leadership: Proven track record of leading communications for successful fundraising initiatives.
  • Creative Communication: Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex missions into accessible, donor-facing content.
