We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Software Engineer for a one-year hybrid engagement in Beaverton, OR. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the backbone of our development operations, ensuring seamless integration and robust administration of our core systems. You will help support the administration of GitHub and Cursor, as well as integrations between other systems. You would be the lead engineer on an immediate team of 2 others and work directly with 3 other teams. Your leadership and technical prowess will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of several key development squads, fostering a collaborative environment that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a small, dedicated engineering team, guiding technical direction and fostering professional growth.
- Collaborate extensively with multiple cross-functional squads, influencing architectural decisions and integration strategies.
- Oversee and support the administration of essential version control systems and advanced code development tools.
- Design, implement, and manage integrations between various critical systems to enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive best practices in software development, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of comprehensive experience in a software engineering role.
- Expertise in administering enterprise-level version control systems.
- Strong familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and practices.
- Proven experience with advanced code development tools and environments.
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, with a track record of guiding teams and projects.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Highly collaborative and team-oriented approach, thriving in a dynamic, multi-squad environment.
- Experience with container-based development, particularly on orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a nice-to-have.
- A strong understanding of platform engineering principles and practices is a nice-to-have.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in version control system administration is a plus.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $66.00 to $74.00 per hour. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location
