Overview

Our beauty client is seeking a Communications & Engagement Manager (consultant/contractor) to support the North America Transformation Office. This role is focused on the tactical execution of internal communications, storytelling, and employee engagement initiatives that bring the organization’s transformation journey to life.

Reporting to the AVP of Transformation Communications, Activation & Engagement, this individual will play a key role in delivering clear, compelling, and visually engaging content that drives alignment, understanding, and engagement across a large, matrixed organization.

Key Responsibilities

Communications & Content Development

  • Draft and edit high-impact internal communications, including newsletters, intranet (SharePoint) articles, FAQs, leadership messaging, and video scripts
  • Develop communications plans and content that clearly articulate transformation initiatives to diverse employee audiences
  • Translate complex business topics into clear, engaging, and digestible messaging

Executive & Team Support

  • Partner closely with the AVP to develop PowerPoint presentations, briefing documents, and talking points
  • Support leadership communications and ensure messaging consistency across initiatives

Editorial & Project Management

  • Own and maintain the Transformation Office editorial calendar and Gantt, ensuring alignment with key milestones
  • Manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, ensuring high-quality output and on-time execution
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and version control across all communications

Visual Storytelling & Campaign Execution

  • Create or coordinate visual assets (presentations, graphics, videos) to enhance storytelling and simplify complex information
  • Ensure all materials are visually compelling and aligned with brand standards

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Act as a liaison between the Transformation Office and project teams
  • Support execution of the Communications Playbook, ensuring consistent and effective rollout of communication strategies
  • Collaborate across HR, operations, and business teams within a large, matrixed organization

Event & Engagement Support

  • Coordinate logistics and run-of-show for internal events, including town halls, workshops, and leadership meetings (virtual and in-person)
  • Support employee engagement initiatives tied to transformation milestones

Platform & Content Management

  • Manage and publish content across internal platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams)
  • Ensure all transformation-related resources are current, accessible, and well-organized

Qualifications

Required

  • 4–7 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, content marketing, or related fields
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, engaging content
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with a strong eye for visual storytelling and presentation design
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience working within a large, matrixed organization

Preferred

  • Experience with SharePoint or intranet platforms
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design tools
  • Exposure to Adobe Campaign or newsletter platforms
  • Experience supporting internal events, town halls, or employee engagement initiatives
