You will contribute to key projects focused on capability building and project support, shaping the future of Kids + Core footwear.

**What You’ll Work On:**

* Create narrative-driven seasonal color concepts that shape the future of Kids + Core footwear.
* Utilize research, consumer insight, and color craft to bring trend-relevant product stories to life across the product line.
* Collaborate with Material Design, Graphics, Product Design, Product Management, Merchandising, and Development to build cohesive seasonal color direction.
* Develop color palettes and flows that align with category strategy.
* Conduct in‑depth research across sport, fashion, art, and culture to inform color decisions.
* Review samples, troubleshoot color execution challenges, and drive accuracy from concept to manufacturing.
* Support cross-functional designers with color expertise outside your assigned load when needed.
* Lead yourself and teammates confidently through change, iteration, and ambiguity.

**Who We Are Looking For:**

Our client seeks a highly collaborative Footwear Color Designer with proven experience, strong problem-solving skills, and creativity. The ideal candidate blends creativity, technical mastery, and instinct to elevate kids + core footwear through the power of color, understanding how color sparks emotion, drives narrative, and influences culture. You will drive an emotional connection to footwear through narrative and storytelling.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field, or any suitable combination of education, experience, and training.
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in color design for footwear.
* Strategic color design for core consumer products, focusing on longevity rather than seasonal trends.
* Ability to develop offerings based on established color lines.
* Understanding of the core consumer, storytelling, and collaboration within the design process.
* Demonstrated creative experience across consumer segments and dimensions.
* Proficiency in digital design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
* A strong creative design portfolio (website links or PDF files required for consideration).
* Ability to deliver on timelines and deadlines with attention to detail and clear communication.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* Ideally 5+ years of relevant design experience.
* Ability to articulate clear inspiration sources for color, demonstrating its relevance to the consumer and product interaction, and how the consumer will engage with the product.
* Experience with presentation programs (e.g., Keynote, PowerPoint).
* Positive, collaborative approach, receptive to feedback and diverse perspectives.
* Ability to approach projects with passion, influence through teamwork, and adapt to change.
* Experience with enterprise-level retailers.
* Previous industry experience.
