Aquent Studios is seeking a Program Manager to lead the execution and operational excellence of a portfolio of event websites for a global enterprise technology client. In this role, you’ll drive consistency, quality, and readiness across multiple high-visibility event sites, ensuring alignment with brand, UX, accessibility, and content standards.
You’ll partner closely with design leadership, event project managers, and cross-functional teams to translate event requirements into clear website execution plans, oversee delivery from build through launch, and provide structured reporting on performance, risks, and portfolio health.

Role Overview
The Program Manager is responsible for leading the execution, coordination, and operational excellence of a portfolio of event websites supporting up to nine Microsoft events. Operating as an extension of the internal web and events organization, this role ensures consistency, quality, and reliability across all event sites by implementing agreed upon strategy, standards, and processes. This role collaborates directly with the Website Design Manager and is accountable for website execution, portfolio-level operational visibility, and performance reporting across all events. The Strategic Site Manager partners closely with two Event Project Managers, who own the overall event lifecycle, workback schedules (WBS), and event deliverables, while the Site Manager owns website specific execution, governance delivery, and operational health across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Execution & Governance
- Execute and maintain a consistent website operating model across all events, aligned to defined brand, UX, accessibility, and content standards.
- Apply governance frameworks, templates, and reusable patterns consistently across sites to support scalability and reduce fragmentation.
- Maintain a portfolio-level view of all event websites to ensure alignment, readiness, and experience consistency.
Partnership with Event Project Managers
- Partner closely with two Event Project Managers, aligning website execution to overall event timelines, milestones, and dependencies.
- Translate PMprovided requirements and milestones into clear website execution plans.
- Provide continuous website status, dependency visibility, and risk awareness to PMs.
- Support the event lifecycle without owning the overall event WBS, non-web deliverables, or event program decisions.
Website Lifecycle Execution
- Coordinate website readiness for pre-event phases, including content population, QA, accessibility validation, and launch preparation.
- Support live event operations by monitoring site stability, performance, and issue resolution in partnership with engineering.
- Manage postevent website transitions, including content updates, archiving, and documentation of learnings.
- Operational Reporting & Direct Management Visibility
- Provide regular, structured reporting to the Website Design Manager, including:
- Per-event website status (readiness, risks, open issues, upcoming milestones)
Cross-event portfolio health and trends
- Operational model health, including process adherence, bottlenecks, and
- recurring risks
- Surface issues early with clear context, impact assessment, and recommended next steps.
- Maintain dashboards, summaries, or reporting artifacts that enable leadership level visibility across all events.
- Support leadership reviews, deep dives, and executive readouts as needed.
- Website Operations & Process Management
- Run standardized workflows for website updates, enhancements, releases, and ongoing maintenance.
- Coordinate intake and execution of website requests aligned to PMdefined timelines.
- Partner with engineering teams to support predictable QA cycles, releases, and launch readiness.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the primary daytoday point of contact for website related coordination across content, design, engineering, and event stakeholders.
- Translate event and business needs into clear functional direction for website delivery teams.
- Facilitate website focused working sessions, status reviews, and retrospectives.
- Content, Experience & Accessibility Quality
- Partner with content and design teams to apply reusable content models, UX patterns, and experience frameworks.
- Ensure accessibility (WCAG) and brand standards are met prior to launch and maintained throughout the event lifecycle.
- Support consistent attendee experiences while accommodating approved event specific needs.
Platform & Delivery Oversight
- Maintain working knowledge of the CMS and website platform to support efficient execution and reuse.
- Coordinate with engineering on QA, release readiness, and operational risk awareness.
- Identify website specific risks, dependencies, and issues and escalate appropriately.
Continuous Improvement
- Capture lessons learned and operational insights across events.
- Recommend improvements to workflows, templates, and governance execution based on performance data.
- Support ongoing refinement of the website operating model.
Website Operational KPIs & Performance Indicators
The Strategic Site Manager is responsible for tracking, synthesizing, and reporting on website operational performance, including but not limited to:
1. Delivery & Readiness
Website readiness against key event milestones
Ontime completion of planned website releases
Launch readiness status (green / yellow / red)
2. Quality & Stability
Number and severity of website issues by event and phase
Postlaunch defect trends
Accessibility compliance status at launch and during live events
3. Operational Efficiency
Adherence to defined website workflows and processes
Reuse of templates, components, and content models across events
Reduction in adhoc or reactive website requests
4. Risk & Dependency Health
Identified risks and dependencies by event
Time to surface and resolve critical website issues
Recurring operational risks across the portfolio
5. Portfolio Health
Cross event consistency of experience and execution
Overall health of the website operating model
Key insights and recommendations to improve future event execution
These KPIs are synthesized into clear, leadership ready summaries that provide visibility into both individual event health and overall portfolio performance.
