Java Developer

Overview

We are seeking a high-achieving Senior Java Developer to join a mission-driven team focused on innovation and digital transformation. In this role, you will lead the execution of critical software strategies, leveraging your technical prowess to influence participant experiences and drive operational efficiency. You will act as a strategic partner, translating complex business objectives into high-quality, scalable digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Lead the execution of full-stack Java development initiatives, ensuring alignment with broad architectural goals and user needs.
• Framework Management: Develop and deploy robust applications using the Spring Boot framework.
• Agile Collaboration: Thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment using Agile and Scrum methodologies to drive projects to completion.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Implement stringent quality standards through JUnit testing and BDD (Behavior Driven Development) using Cucumber.
• Version Control: Manage and oversee code repositories and collaboration through GitHub.
• Data Integration: Leverage proficiency in both SQL and MongoDB to support complex data-driven applications.

Qualifications

Technical Must-Haves:

• Experience: 6+ years of software development experience with a heavy focus on Java and related frameworks.
• Core Skills: Exceptional full-stack Java development skills and a deep understanding of Spring Boot.
• Database Knowledge: Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
• Methodology: Proven track record working within Agile and Scrum teams.
• Education: BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Preferred Skills:

• Testing: Strong debugging skills with Java testing libraries and experience with BDD scenarios.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
