Are you a passionate and skilled test engineer eager to shape the quality and experience of groundbreaking online games? We are seeking a dynamic individual to join a dedicated team, where your expertise will directly influence the development and release of engaging player-versus-player (PVP) and player-versus-environment (PVE) game modes. This is an incredible opportunity to work alongside development teams, providing crucial early testing, creating essential documentation, and ensuring a seamless, high-quality gaming experience for a global audience. Your contributions will be vital in identifying issues, refining gameplay systems, and ensuring the stability and performance of complex multiplayer environments.

**What you’ll do:**

* Collaborate closely with development teams to provide early and comprehensive testing for new features and game modes.
* Create detailed documentation, including test cases, test briefs, and quality assurance pages, to guide testing efforts.
* Act as a primary point of contact for the quality assurance team, fielding design questions and providing insights into testing status.
* Provide timely and constructive feedback to QA Leads on the health of specific game areas and features.
* Communicate effectively with development teams regarding testing progress and necessary adjustments.
* Contribute to the overall quality and stability of online gaming experiences.

**What you’ll bring:**

**Required Skills & Experience:**

* Multiple development cycle experience with a focus on Online PVP & PVE game modes.
* Strong understanding of:
* **Match Flow & Gameplay Systems Testing:** Ensuring sessions progress as expected, verifying objective flow, timers, scoring, wave logic, round transitions, and escalation systems.
* **Combat & AI Testing:** Verifying enemy and ally AI behavior, pathfinding, combat response, spawn logic, host/client behavior replication, ability usage, and cooldown systems.
* **Multiplayer Functionality Testing:** Testing drop-in/drop-out co-op, objective sync, scoring across multiple players, network stability, and identifying desyncs, lag, or matchmaking inconsistencies.
* **Map & Environmental Testing:** Verifying spawn zones, objective locations, player access areas, testing for collision issues, exploits, pathing bugs, interactive object behavior, and consistent lighting, materials, and post-processing effects.
* **Performance & Stability Testing:** Identifying memory usage issues, framerate drops, stability concerns under load, testing game stability across multiple hardware targets, and monitoring for audio/visual streaming issues.
* Experience writing test briefs, instructions, and playtest documentation.
* Ability to estimate testing scope and effort based on feature complexity.
* Familiarity with bug tracking and test planning tools (e.g., Jira, DevTrack, TestRail).
* Strong organization and documentation skills, with attention to reproducibility and clarity.
* Excellent communication skills, with comfort interfacing across QA, Dev, and Production teams.
* Willingness to learn proprietary tools and pipelines, and to adapt quickly to evolving content.

**Nice-to-have Qualifications:**

* Experience with Unreal Engine.
* Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Perforce, and SharePoint.
* Strong adaptable teaching skills (teaching to lots of different types of learners).
* Familiarity with popular action-shooter game series and multiplayer game modes.
