We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our legal team and play a crucial role in supporting our operations. In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of legal processes, directly contributing to the strategic initiatives and overall success of our enterprise. Your expertise will be vital in navigating complex legal landscapes and empowering our attorneys to achieve their objectives.
**What You’ll Do:**
* Prepare essential legal correspondence and documents, such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas, under the guidance of an attorney.
* Review legal journals and actively contribute to legal research efforts.
* Provide valuable assistance to new legal professionals in preparing documents for court submission.
* Support attorneys by collecting vital information, including employment, medical, and other relevant records.
* Attend critical legal meetings, such as client interviews, hearings, or depositions, and accurately document proceedings.
* Efficiently organize and maintain law libraries, critical documents, and case files.
* Process a variety of legal documents and papers, including summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements.

**Required Skills:**
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and strong interpersonal abilities.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively manage your time.
* Foundational knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, and the democratic political process.
* Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
