This organization is dedicated to operational excellence and continuously seeks to enhance its internal systems and user experience. We are looking for exceptional talent to join their team and contribute to their mission.
Are you a communications expert with a knack for technical configuration, eager to make a tangible impact on how thousands of users interact with critical systems? This is an exciting opportunity to shape the user experience for a vital identity management platform, ensuring clear, consistent, and effective communication. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex technical processes and user-friendly messaging, directly contributing to operational efficiency and user satisfaction across a vast enterprise.
**What You’ll Do:**
As a key member of the team, you will blend your communications expertise with light coding and configuration skills to create and maintain automated messages for an essential identity management platform. Your work will directly influence how end-users understand and navigate their digital identities, ensuring a seamless and secure experience.
**Technical Configuration & Tooling:**
* Build, update, and maintain automated email and in-tool messages for the identity management platform.
* Utilize scripting languages for templates and logic, and JavaScript for advanced or custom needs.
* Configure and maintain communication templates within the identity management tool and related newsletter/campaign platforms.
* Ensure all links, logic, and dynamic content function correctly across messages and channels.
**Content Development & Communications:**
* Draft, edit, and format end-user communications (emails, newsletters, notifications) in clear, concise, customer-first language.
* Adapt existing communications and templates, maintaining consistency with established tone, voice, and internal writing standards.
* Translate business and technical requirements into user-friendly content that explains actions, timelines, and next steps.
**Stakeholder Collaboration & Approvals:**
* Partner closely with communications advisors, project managers, product owners, and approvers to understand upcoming initiatives and communication needs.
* Manage the approval process for new and updated communications, including building content in appropriate tools, routing drafts for review, and incorporating feedback.
* Work within agreed timelines and service level agreements, proactively flagging any potential risks.
**Quality, Governance, and Process:**
* Ensure all communications adhere to brand, legal, compliance, and accessibility guidelines.
* Maintain a library of templates and examples for repeatable and frequent communications.
* Help educate requestors on the effort involved in building communications in specialized tools versus standard email tools, reinforcing realistic expectations.
* Identify opportunities to standardize, templatize, and streamline communications to reduce manual work for the broader communications team.
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Experience working with templating/scripting languages (e.g., Velocity) and comfort with JavaScript or similar languages.
* Demonstrated experience in communications, technical writing, or digital content for complex tools, products, or IT systems.
* Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders (communications, UX, product, procurement, vendors) and incorporate feedback constructively.
* Strong writing and editing skills with a customer-first mindset, attention to detail, and consistency in tone and formatting.
* Proven ability to manage multiple requests, prioritize under time constraints, and meet clearly defined service level agreements.
**Key Competencies:**
* **Technical Aptitude:** Able to understand tool configuration and troubleshoot basic scripting issues.
* **Communication & Influence:** Clearly articulates options, constraints, and recommendations to stakeholders.
* **Ownership & Accountability:** Takes end-to-end responsibility from request intake through approved final product.
* **Collaboration:** Works smoothly with internal teams and external partners/vendors.
* **Quality Focus:** Committed to accuracy, brand alignment, and user experience in every communication.
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
* Prior experience with Identity Governance / Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools.
* Experience working in or with large, matrixed organizations and cross-functional teams (UX, communications, IT, procurement).
* Familiarity with newsletter tools, campaign builders, or enterprise communication platforms.
* Background in agency, internal studio, or “team-as-a-service” models, including working with project managers and deliverables-based engagements.
