In this role, you will be the cornerstone of accurate and timely payroll processing, playing a pivotal part in maintaining employee trust and supporting key financial objectives. Your contributions will directly empower our workforce, allowing them to focus on driving innovation and achieving our ambitious goals.
**What You’ll Do:**
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing, from initial data entry and timecard validations to ensuring accurate check distributions.
* Serve as a primary point of contact for employee payroll questions and concerns, providing clear and helpful guidance.
* Assist in the meticulous maintenance of employee and payment records, as well as critical timekeeping documentation.
* Collaborate effectively with People, Benefits, Finance, and other departments to ensure integrated and efficient processes.
* Lead year-end communication efforts and execute thorough reconciliations to close out financial periods accurately.
* Respond promptly and professionally to government inquiries, including wage verifications and garnishment orders.
* Conduct benefit audits and coordinate closely with internal teams and third-party vendors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
* Perform Leave of Absence payment calculations and entries, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulations.
* Undertake additional payroll-related tasks as requested, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach.
**What You’ll Bring:**
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree with 8 to 10 years of dedicated payroll processing experience, or a H.S. Diploma/GED equivalent with 12 to 14 years of payroll processing experience.
* Required experience with Workday Payroll systems.
* Comprehensive knowledge of payroll administration principles and related compliance requirements.
* Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering diligence are essential for success in this role.
* A profound understanding of the importance of confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and Word, with strong preference for VLOOKUP and pivot table skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with employees and various departments.
**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
* An accounting or human resources background is a valuable asset.
