About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled professional to contribute to key projects that will revolutionize how industrial data is managed and utilized. In this role, you will be instrumental in improving process efficiency through automation, maintaining and enhancing vital systems, and developing innovative solutions that support the modernization of industrial controls and telemetry data processes. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and utility, directly enabling advanced analytical capabilities and operational advancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Modify existing databases and database management systems to optimize performance and functionality.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions, and specify identifiers for database management systems, or guide others in coding these descriptions.
  • Collaborate as part of a project team to coordinate database development efforts and define project scope and limitations.
  • Review project requests detailing user needs to accurately estimate the time and cost required for project completion.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in software development or a related field.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service oriented approach.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize time effectively.
  • Basic mentoring skills to provide support and constructive feedback to peers.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from business analysis and requirements gathering to development, testing, and delivery.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting issues and implementing necessary system changes to resolve them.
  • Solid understanding of computer hardware and software principles.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and development software, including technologies like SQL and VisualBasic.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with industrial control systems.
  • Demonstrated expertise in automation development.
  • Strong capabilities in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
  • Proven experience in process improvement initiatives.
  • A proactive mindset with a demonstrated willingness to challenge and enhance existing processes.
