About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and evaluate the software and systems that power our critical operations. In this pivotal role, you will apply your deep expertise in computer science and mathematical analysis to build robust and secure solutions. You will be instrumental in key projects focused on developing custom CRM solutions and specialized business application platforms, directly contributing to our mission of protecting customers from cyber threats. Your work will involve the full software development lifecycle, from conceptualization to deployment, ensuring our systems are resilient, efficient, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
- Guide team members in writing and coding logical and physical database descriptions, and specifying database identifiers for management systems.
- Direct database development initiatives and approve project scope and limitations.
- Evaluate project requests, estimating time and cost for successful completion.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to protect information in computer files against accidental or unauthorized damage, modification, or disclosure.
- Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise the installation and testing of new products and improvements to computer systems.
- Develop standards and guidelines for software use and acquisition, and to safeguard vulnerable information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
- 8-10 years of experience in software development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving abilities, customer service orientation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong mentoring skills, including providing support and constructive performance feedback.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from business/systems analysis and requirements gathering to functional specification authoring, development, testing, and delivery.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and implement necessary system changes.
- In-depth knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Proficiency in computer development software as it relates to systems, including SQL and VisualBasic.
Compensation
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $129.27/hour.
Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
