Aquent is partnering with one of the most recognized brands in retail, a company that delivers exceptional brand experiences to consumers and shapes how marketing technology drives real business outcomes. This organization is at the forefront of its industry, leveraging innovative solutions to power its marketing department and connect with customers in meaningful ways. This is hybrid role at the client’s office in Midtown (Richmond). It will require 3-4 days onsite. 

Are you ready to be the operational backbone of a dynamic marketing technology ecosystem? We are seeking a detail-oriented, technical, and execution-focused professional to join a high-impact team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the transformation of marketing requests into delivered solutions, ensuring systems run smoothly, work is clearly defined, and initiatives are executed effectively. You’ll partner closely with business owners, vendors, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into action, maintain platform health, and drive the adoption of critical marketing systems, directly contributing to the business outcomes that power a leading retail brand.

What You Will Do – Essential Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical lead for end-to-end coordination of marketing technology initiatives across internal teams, vendors, and partners.
  • Track status, risks, dependencies, and next steps to ensure consistent forward progress on all initiatives.
  • Proactively remove blockers and communicate updates and outcomes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Act as the central point for all Marketing Technology requests, managing the intake process efficiently.
  • Gather, document, and translate complex business needs into clear, technical, and actionable work items.
  • Lead the development and implementation of intake processes, templates, and taxonomy to drive consistency and clarity across requests.
  • Administer and maintain assigned marketing technology platforms, ensuring day-to-day operational health and stability.
  • Configure workflows, permissions, and standards across systems to optimize performance and security.
  • Lead system hygiene efforts, data integrity initiatives, and ongoing platform optimization to maximize efficiency.
  • Serve as the first line of support for users across various marketing technology systems, resolving issues promptly.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), comprehensive documentation, and reference materials to scale usage and knowledge.
  • Deliver engaging training and enablement sessions to drive adoption and effective usage of platforms among diverse user groups.
  • Partner closely with business owners to translate strategic business intent into executable technical solutions, ensuring alignment throughout delivery.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams to support aligned execution of marketing technology projects.
  • Escalate architectural or cross-team issues to ensure alignment across systems and delivery teams, fostering a collaborative environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 3-5 years demonstrated experience in marketing systems operations, marketing technology, Business Systems analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience working with various marketing technology platforms (e.g., digital asset management, workflow tools, campaign systems).
  • Hands-on system administration experience, including user management, system structures, workflows, and configurations.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into clear, structured technical and/or software requirements.
  • Experience managing workstreams with multiple stakeholders, vendors, or cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience supporting system adoption, training, and change management initiatives.
  • Experience in user experience design, ensuring delivered solutions are intuitive and effective for intended audiences.
  • Direct experience working with various marketing technology platforms.
