Diversity recruiting solution helps companies build a more diverse workforce.

While a variety of research reinforces the value of a diverse workforce when it comes to boosting employee satisfaction and company profitability, Workhuman’s, “Human Workforce Index” found that corporate America still struggles to foster diverse workplaces. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts were the focus of a recent segment broadcast on NBC-10 in Philadelphia. In the story, it was explained that workforce diversity goes beyond ethnicity or gender—it can include things like age, veteran status, ability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. 

Erin Bloom, Head of Culture and Community at Aquent, noted that the increase in the number of people working remotely provides an opportunity for companies to expand their talent searches geographically and reach a much more diverse pool of potential candidates. According to Bloom, one of the first things needed is talent self-identification data. Using that data, companies can start to understand their DEI needs and set goals. By using voluntary, talent demographic data and Diversity Hiring Specialists, Aquent's Diversity+ solution is able to deliver a more diverse slate of candidates to clients to help them meet these goals. Bloom also noted that creating a more diverse working environment is something talent want; therefore, it is important for companies to celebrate individuals’ diverse perspectives, experiences, and identities.
