Make a direct and meaningful impact on patient journeys by ensuring seamless access to critical medical services. In this vital administrative role, you will be the welcoming face and voice for patients, orchestrating their care experience from initial contact through essential appointments and procedures. Your organizational skills and empathetic approach will directly contribute to a positive patient experience, allowing clinical teams to focus on what they do best: healing. **What You’ll Do:**

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new patients, coordinating their initial entry into the care system.
  • Manage the scheduling of surgeries and other critical patient appointments.
  • Greet and welcome patients, assisting with inquiries regarding appointments, payments, and schedules.
  • Operate a multi-line phone system, screening and routing calls, and taking messages for clinical staff and providers.
  • Ensure all necessary verifications and authorizations are complete before patient encounters.
  • Communicate effectively with providers regarding scheduling preferences and urgent patient needs.
  • Provide essential doctor-patient support, utilizing reference documents and tools.
  • Perform various administrative tasks, including maintaining information databases and processing internal forms.
  • Utilize telephone systems and electronic medical records systems proficiently.
  • Meet and exceed organizational and department service standards.
  • Address non-clinical patient inquiries and messages, escalating as appropriate.
  • Manage and distribute faxes, mail, and clinic-specific documentation.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Need to be very savvy/very strong proficiency with EPIC
  • Previous experience in surgery scheduling
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and software relevant to administrative functions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills appropriate for a professional setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service, solve problems efficiently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Windows-based office software and operating systems.
  • Ability to adapt communication style to suit diverse audiences and ensure understanding.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and effectiveness in stressful situations.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35.81 to $38.96 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
