You will be instrumental in managing the prescription fulfillment process, from initial data entry and insurance resolution to the final preparation and distribution of medications. Your expertise will ensure operational efficiency and patient satisfaction, contributing directly to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care.
**What You’ll Do:**
* Prepare and distribute prescription medications with precision, utilizing advanced fulfillment systems.
* Manage prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejections and conducting patient or physician outreach.
* Accurately enter patient demographics and prescription details into data processing systems.
* Investigate and resolve complex insurance billing issues and escalated patient concerns.
* Collaborate closely with Pharmacists, escalating clinical questions and providing processing guidance.
* Engage with patients and physicians through inbound and outbound calls, providing exceptional service.
* Operate automated machinery, sort medications, and manage inventory through various workflow stages, maintaining stringent quality control.
* Count, fill, label, pack, and ship prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
* Maintain and clean machinery, ensuring an organized and efficient work environment.
* Resolve third-party rejections by gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting claims according to individual plan requirements.
* Provide essential support to Pharmacists, both on-site and remotely, and communicate critical issues to senior staff.
**Must-Have Qualifications:**
* High School Diploma or GED.
* 0-2 years of experience in a pharmacy technician role.
* Active Pharmacy Technician Registration and Certification as required by the state of operation, valid through the assignment end date.
* Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
* Basic computer proficiency, including navigation, program usage, and online information access.
* Basic search engine skills, including URL entry, search queries, and online form completion.
* Intermediate keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, touch typing).
* Ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
* Willingness and ability to work a flexible shift.
* Must be 18 years of age or older.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $16.83 to $18.71 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
