Aquent is partnering with a large, well-known client to transform the way customers apply for and access financial products online. They are expanding their product delivery model to include multiple squads to accelerate innovation and deliver a better digital experience for customers.
They are seeking a Product Owner to support the digital acquisition channel, specifically the online credit card application experience. This role will focus on delivering enhancements that improve how customers discover, apply for, and are approved for credit cards across digital channels.
You’ll work at the center of a cross-functional team that includes design, development, marketing, compliance, and business stakeholders to deliver digital improvements that impact thousands of customers.
This contract role is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting business goals, customer needs, and digital delivery, and who thrives in environments where priorities evolve and collaboration is key.
What You’ll Do
- Own and manage the product backlog for digital acquisition initiatives related to the online credit card application journey
- Translate business priorities and stakeholder needs into epics, features, and user stories
- Work closely with design, development, and marketing teams to deliver digital enhancements
- Support the delivery of initiatives within the digital acquisition roadmap
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, operations, and business stakeholders to move initiatives forward
- Identify opportunities to improve the digital application and onboarding experience
- Investigate customer friction points and help define improvements
- Ensure features are delivered successfully through to deployment
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, and reviews
- Help the team understand the bigger picture across multiple initiatives, connecting related work and identifying efficiencies
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders
What Success Looks Like
In the first 6 months, you will:
- Help launch and support the first dedicated acquisition squad
- Deliver meaningful improvements to the online credit card application experience
- Ensure the team delivers consistent feature throughput
- Contribute to a digital roadmap that helps the organization scale its product development capabilities
What You Bring
- 4+ years of experience in product ownership, digital product management, or digital delivery
- Experience working with Agile teams (Scrum or SAFe)
- Experience delivering digital web or mobile experiences
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to navigate complex organizations
- Experience translating business needs into user stories and backlog items
- Strong collaboration skills with design, development, and marketing teams
- Ability to connect multiple inputs and prioritize effectively
- Comfortable working in environments where compliance and legal requirements are important
- Demonstrated ability to quickly get up to speed, be resourceful and contribute value
Nice to Have
- Experience working in financial services, banking, insurance, or regulated industries
- Experience with digital acquisition funnels or application flows
- Martech or digital marketing technology experience
- Experience working closely with UX teams and wireframes
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $35 to $47/hr. Compensation is based on several factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
