We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled individual to join our Security Operations Center. In this pivotal role, you won’t just monitor threats; you’ll be on the front lines, actively defending against sophisticated cyber attacks and ensuring the continuous security of our operations. **What You’ll Do**

As a key member of our 24x7x365 Security Operations Center, you will:

* Operate within a global team of Information Security professionals, contributing to a unified defense strategy.
* Triage and expertly respond to concurrent information security incidents from various sources, including SIEM alerts, ticketing systems, and direct reports.
* Conduct thorough root cause analyses, meticulously document findings, and collaborate with technology and process owners to implement preventative measures.
* Research, analyze, and interpret diverse log sources from security and networking devices (e.g., firewalls, routers, proxies, anti-virus systems, operating systems) to detect anomalies.
* Automate repetitive manual processes through scripting to enhance operational efficiency.
* Perform raw data review to identify novel malicious activities not yet covered by existing signatures or content.
* Contribute to the development of new security content and refine existing content for SIEM, IDS, and other critical security technologies.
* Participate in an evergreen documentation process, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of critical team resources.
* Collaborate with management to define and update standard operating procedures and incident response plans.
* Support senior analysts, team leads, technical directors, and management throughout all phases of the incident response lifecycle.

**Must-Have Qualifications**

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

* Minimum of 2+ years of professional security experience.
* Between 2-5 years of professional IT experience.
* Proven experience as an initial point of escalation for junior security analysts.
* A track record of training, mentoring, and overseeing junior security analysts.
* Thorough understanding of computer networking principles: TCP/IP, routing, and various protocols.
* CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent demonstrable knowledge/experience.
* CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent demonstrable knowledge/experience.
* Detailed knowledge of packet structure and prior experience performing in-depth packet analysis.
* Comprehensive understanding of information security best practices and technologies.
* Detailed knowledge regarding the administration, use, securing, and exploitation of common operating systems.
* Prior experience analyzing log sources from security and networking devices such as firewalls, routers, proxies, anti-virus products, and operating systems.
* Strong proficiency with both Windows and Unix/Linux command line environments.
* In-depth knowledge of obfuscation techniques used to encode/encrypt malicious traffic/data.
* Familiarity with standardized incident response frameworks (e.g., SANS/NIST).
* A strong research and analytical background, particularly in event classification, correlation, and root cause analysis.
* Scripting experience with Python, Perl, SQL, and/or PowerShell strongly preferred.
* The ability to react quickly, decisively, and deliberately in high-stress situations.
* High level of ethics and strong core values.
* A strong passion for continuous learning and professional development.
* Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills to document findings, escalate critical incidents, and interact effectively with stakeholders.
* Willingness to participate in shift work as part of a 24x7x365 operation.
* Self-disciplined to ensure completion of shift work with minimal supervision; a highly motivated individual with the ability to self-start, prioritize, and multi-task effectively.

* Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
* SANS GCIH, GCIA, or other equivalent industry-recognized certifications.
