ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Senior Technical Designer with deep expertise in suiting—ideally menswear—to join our team as an individual contributor. In this role, you will own the full technical design process from development through final fit, working directly with overseas factories and vendors to bring product to life with precision and integrity.
You will be embedded in a collaborative design and technical services team, reporting to the Technical Services Manager, with the opportunity to mentor Assistant Technical Designers.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

•Analyze and evaluate garments to develop correct fit specifications aligned with brand standards
•Develop and maintain detailed technical specifications (tech packs) for all assigned product categories
•Communicate fit intent clearly to overseas factories and vendors; issue approvals and correction requests
•Make appropriate adjustments with manufacturers to maintain the integrity of design-approved prototypes
•Monitor product quality, construction, and costing to ensure alignment with target price points
•Ensure all products are developed consistent with established fit quality standards and manufacturer capabilities
•Partner cross-functionally with design, merchandising, and sourcing teams throughout the development calendar
•May oversee and provide direction to Assistant Technical Designers
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
•5+ years of technical design experience, with a strong background in suiting (menswear preferred)
•Deep command of garment construction, pattern-making principles, and fit analysis across structured categories
•Proven ability to write and communicate clear, accurate tech packs and fit comments to international factories
•Strong understanding of manufacturing capabilities, cost implications, and quality control standards
•Collaborative communicator who can work fluidly with design, production, and vendor partners
•Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and/or industry-standard PLM platforms
•Ability to manage multiple development cycles simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
•Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or equivalent professional experience
