**What You Will Do:**

As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our digital offerings and fostering a collaborative design culture. Your responsibilities will include:

* **Systems Design:**
* Work on core design system architecture, design token frameworks, and user interface guidelines for commercial web platforms.
* Discover user interface patterns and create reusable, flexible, and accessible components.
* Provide expert guidance to team members, improving their understanding and mastery of design systems.
* Determine strategies for enabling the collection, refinement, governance, and distribution of shared patterns and components.
* Contribute to the creation of reusable components, utilities, and libraries within design tools and contribute to coded components and component quality assurance.
* **Community Engagement:**
* Act as an advocate for client-centric design methods and a single, shared client experience across the organization.
* Manage relationships with partners regarding design, code, execution, and syncing of User Interface assets.
* Share insights and demonstrate thought leadership through presentations, workshops, and other forms of written and oral communications within the Design team and across the organization.
* Facilitate systems-related design critiques, evaluate designs for inclusivity, and provide expert advice and guidance to cross-functional teams.
* Break down complex topics and communicate them effectively to a broad audience.

**What You Will Bring:**

We are looking for a passionate and experienced individual with a strong foundation in design and technology, coupled with a drive for innovation.

**Must-have Qualifications:**

* BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), Systems Design / Human Factors Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* A minimum of 7 years of experience in designing and developing usable interfaces across multiple platforms.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic; describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
* Strong expertise with Figma.
* Experience in mobile design and/or development (iOS or Android).
* Experience creating or contributing to a design system.

**Nice-to-have Qualifications:**

* MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), Systems Design / Human Factors Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment.
* Experience designing user interfaces for mobile native platforms (Android and iOS).
* Experience with CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with common user interface tools and frameworks (Sass, Tailwind, React, Angular).
* Knowledge of software services / APIs.
