Content Design: Digital Asset Manager

Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive and highly organized Digital Asset Manager to govern our creative content supply chain. This role supports a massive, globally distributed design team by managing the ingest, organization, tagging, and retrieval of our most valuable creative IP. From complex Photoshop design systems and photography to highly sensitive Keynote strategy decks and critical production paperwork, you will be the ultimate gatekeeper of our asset management platform. You will ensure that our creative teams can find exactly what they need in seconds, rather than wasting hours searching through legacy folder structures.

  • Location: Remote; must currently reside within 100 miles of Culver City
  • Pay Comments:  W2, weekly pay, benefits, 401k w/ match
  • Background screening required

Key Responsibilities

  • Taxonomy & Metadata Tagging: Own the metadata schema for designated lines of business. Define and implement intuitive naming conventions and folder hierarchies so cleanly that any stakeholder can instantly identify an asset’s purpose by its file name alone, without needing prior context on the specific project. Ensure every final asset, template, and strategy deck is tagged with 100 percent accuracy upon project wrap.
  • Document & Rights Governance: Manage the cataloging and lifecycle tracking of supplementary creative production documents, including spreadsheets, talent releases, NDAs, invoices, and usage rights. Oversee how these legal and administrative assets are safely checked in, checked out, and tracked for expiration.
  • Source of Truth Maintenance: Maintain clear separation between “Source Templates” (core design systems) and “Executional Templates” (daily working files). Lock down root folders and manage user permissions to prevent accidental deletion or unauthorized access.
  • Ingest & Archiving: Act as the final quality control checkpoint for assets moving from active development environments into our enterprise asset management platform. Ensure naming conventions and folder structures strictly adhere to global studio standards.
  • Search & Retrieval: Act as the primary librarian for the creative team, fulfilling search requests for historical assets, localized variations, and past campaign decks.
  • Onboarding, Training & Roadshows: Develop clear system documentation and run interactive workshops or “roadshows” to train new and existing designers, producers, and external vendors on file management best practices, folder structures, and DAM navigation. Confidently present new processes to stakeholders to drive studio-wide adoption.
  • Workflow Development & Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve existing workflows, identifying efficiencies and ideating enhancements to our asset management processes as you become familiar with how everything functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: 4+ years of experience in digital asset management, creative operations, or library sciences. Candidates must possess a strong hunger to learn and adapt to an incredibly nimble corporate environment.
  • Industry Background: Experience working within a creative agency, brand team, entertainment studio, high-volume e-commerce platform, complex educational ecosystem, or major global consumer brand (such as large-scale retail/apparel operations like Nike).
  • Creative Workflow Fluency: Deep understanding of static creative workflows, including design systems, localization, and presentation deck iteration. Proficiency with standard creative file types (PSD, AI, Keynote, PDF, high-res photography).
  • System Migration & Architecture: Experience migrating large volumes of data into enterprise DAM systems (e.g., Box) and building intuitive taxonomy models from scratch.
  • Interpersonal Leadership & Tact: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. Proven ability to act as an empathetic change agent, manage expectations across varied business lines, handle diverse creative personalities, and introduce potentially disruptive workflow improvements with operational diplomacy.

Please note this is a remote position, but you must currently reside within 100 miles of Culver City, CA.
