We are looking for a creative and trend-savvy Social Media Designer to step in and support one of our key food brand clients during a 3+ month maternity leave (with potential for extension on future projects).
In this role, you’ll be the visual steward of the brand across social platforms, crafting high-performing organic content, refining visual identities. You’ll work mostly remotely, with occasional in-person meetings at our NYC office.
Key Responsibilities
- Organic Content Creation: Design and produce monthly organic social content (feed posts, stories, reels assets, static graphics, and short-form video elements) tailored for maximum engagement.
- Visual Identity & Templates: Define, update, and maintain the brand’s social-first visual identity—creating scalable design templates, asset libraries, and visual guidelines.
- Brand Strategy & Tone Alignment: Ensure all visual output aligns with the brand’s overarching marketing strategy, target audience, and social voice design.
- Feedback & Iteration: Collaborate closely with agency leads and brand stakeholders to refine and polish creative ideas based on feedback.
- Community & Voice Design: Help establish visual cues for community responses and brand tone of voice across social channels.
Qualifications & Skills
- Social-First Design Experience: Proven track record of designing eye-catching, high-converting content specifically for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, etc.). Food/beverage experience is a huge plus!
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Canva. Experience with basic motion graphics or video editing tools is a bonus.
- Trend Knowledge: Deep familiarity with current social media trends, platform formats, and emerging visual styles.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Comfortable taking constructive feedback, iterating quickly, and presenting ideas clearly.
- Location: Based in or near the NYC area to attend occasional on-site meetings.
