Hybrid on site in Union Square.
The Digital Products team supports clean energy initiatives through data products and advanced analytics. The team works across customer, GIS, utility, and other large-scale datasets to create insights that support clean energy planning, grid performance, and technology integration.
The Data Analyst will primarily work with existing datasets and multiple data repositories, bringing information together through queries and complex joins, validating data, identifying data quality issues and outliers, performing analysis, and developing visualizations/reports that can be used by project teams and stakeholders.
The team is fully operational today and is looking to expand its ability to turn existing data into repeatable, actionable insights. By the end of 2026, the team would like to develop approximately 25 insight tools/products, including standalone analytical tools and repeatable reports/dashboards in Power BI.
Critical Skills:
- 2+ years of professional data analysis experience
- Strong SQL experience
- Experience analyzing large and/or complex datasets
- Experience working with data from multiple source systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
- Ability to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues rather than simply reporting what the data says
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to investigate, track, communicate, and escalate issues with appropriate urgency
- Ability to manage multiple workflows and priorities in a fast-paced environment
NICE TO HAVE:
- Utility industry experience highly preferred but not required
- Experience with electric utility/customer usage data
- Exposure toAMI, GIS, or real-time operational datasets
- Clean energy experience, including EVs, batteries, electrification, or grid-related initiatives
- Python
- Databricks
- Other querying/data technologies
- Database management
- Data integration and/or data pipeline management
- Data engineering experience
- Experience working with very large datasets and complicated data relationships/joins
- Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Bulk data testing and development/execution of testing and verification plans
- Data pipeline troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Product, application, or analytical tool development experience
Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree required.
