We’re partnering with a large client to hire a talented Designer to join their creative team to support national retail brands across ecommerce and digital marketing. This contract role blends motion design and graphic design, with a strong focus on retail promotions and fast-moving campaigns.

What You’ll Do
Create Motion for Social & Digital Campaigns
- Design motion graphics for TikTok, Instagram, and Meta platforms
- Translate promotional messaging into engaging short-form video content
- Optimize creative for paid and organic social placements
- Deliver polished, platform-ready assets under tight timelines
Design Retail & Ecommerce Promotions
- Conceptualize and execute layouts for:

Email campaigns
- Homepage banners
- Digital advertisements
- Flyers and promotional materials
- Catalogues and booklets

- Interpret marketing briefs and translate them into strong visual solutions
- Ensure designs align with brand standards and retail objectives
Collaborate with Marketing & Creative Teams
- Attend project “pick-up” meetings to gather accurate information
- Ask clarifying questions to fully understand campaign goals
- Work through revisions quickly and thoughtfully
- Maintain clear communication with producers and stakeholders
Deliver Production-Ready Work
- Prepare final files that meet technical and production standards
- Ensure layouts translate effectively with photography and copy
- Reuse archived imagery when appropriate
- Build English and French versions of assets as required
Who Will Thrive in This Role
You’ll do well here if you:
- Have 4+ years of graphic design experience, ideally in retail or ecommerce
- Have hands-on motion experience for social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Meta)
- Are highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD; After Effects strongly preferred)
- Understand retail cadence — promotions move fast, and deadlines are firm
- Have strong typography and color instincts
- Can manage multiple projects at once without losing attention to detail
- Work well independently but collaborate easily
- Stay calm under pressure
- Take initiative and offer solutions, not just execution
Bonus points if you:
- Have Figma experience
- Have worked on bilingual (English/French) layouts
- Are comfortable navigating image banks and asset libraries

​The target hiring compensation range for this role is $30 to $35/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
