* Lead ideation sessions and collaborative work activities to foster innovative solutions.
* Serve as the interaction design subject-matter expert for the product design team.

* **Interaction Artifact Creation**
* Utilize a comprehensive understanding of interaction design theory, research data, and best practices to inform critical design decisions.
* Design complex artifacts that effectively communicate task flows, touchpoints, user behaviors, and information exchange.
* Create detailed low-fidelity sketches, wireframes, and prototypes to explore, communicate, and validate design ideas.
* Develop complex prototypes that provide precise delivery specifications for development teams.
* Present sophisticated interaction design work to senior stakeholders, articulating strategy and rationale.

* **Research and Testing**
* Facilitate usability testing sessions to gather critical user feedback.
* Actively participate in or initiate research activities to deepen user understanding.
* Research cutting-edge interaction design strategies within complex digital environments and conduct competitive audits relevant to specific design or business goals.
* Perform thorough pattern, micro-interaction, and component design audits as needed.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing usable interfaces across multiple channels and platforms.
* Proven experience in an applied research setting, including integrating user research into product designs and design practices.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate design strategy, rationale, and logic, clearly describing benefits and highlighting risks associated with design decisions.
* Expertise with industry-standard design, prototyping, and research tools such as Figma, Mural, and UserTesting.com.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**

* MA/MS degree or certification in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field.
* Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
