QA Engineer (Automation)

Responsibilities

• Independently execute and track testing/validation efforts for mobile systems as a key member of the UAT Team.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, cases, and scripts to ensure high test coverage for existing functionalities and new features.
• Perform thorough testing of on-device experiences across a wide range of mobile applications.
• Design and implement automated tests for target applications on iOS platforms, utilizing Python and Swift.
• Manage multiple initiatives, prioritizing feature and campaign testing, documentation, and on-time delivery of End-to-End testing.
• Provide detailed testing documentation, including scope/overview, test plans, test results, and associated tickets for resolution/prioritization.
• Communicate status and progress effectively through timely reports such as Test Status, Test Metrics, Progress reports, and Coverage matrix.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years dedicated to test automation for end-to-end systems.
• Expertise in Python, specifically for writing robust test automation scripts.
• Proficiency in iOS automation.
• Proven experience in designing and creating test automation frameworks and tools, with a strong focus on End-to-End Test and On-Device mobile testing.
• Experience managing testing activities across the entire project lifecycle, from inception to delivery.
• Front-End Development skills: ability to design and implement user interfaces using JavaScript and frameworks like React.
• Back-End Development skills: experience developing and maintaining server-side logic with languages such as Python, managing APIs, and integrating third-party services.
• Database expertise: ensure application data integrity and security by designing and managing databases in Postgres.
• DevOps proficiency: implement CI/CD pipelines to streamline development workflows in Jenkins, and monitor application performance to troubleshoot issues.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with testing tools such as Charles, GIT, and Jenkins.
• Familiarity with automation of data analytics and data reporting across multiple systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead coordination with multiple Engineering and Product teams to expedite issue prioritization and resolutions.
• Experience creating comprehensive written test reports, detailing test progress, status, plan completion, identified defects, and associated risks.
